Tonight we had about 50 students from CUHK to join our promotion activity. However, most of them did not know anything about GOLD.

In addition, most of the students could not apply the membership during the promotion activity, since the process could be done online only.

We could only promote our own official website and asked them to apply for the membership by clicking the reference link from the website.

Some of the IEEE student members who join tonight said that they prefered more social activities to meet other members or students, or internships referred by IEEE. Most of them wanted student branch to organize activities such as BBQ gathering, hiking or lunch gathering.

Summing-up, all participants satisfied tonight's event.

This is an ATOM, the fundamental unit of everything. The central sphere is the nucleus and the surrounding rings are the electron waves. Those arrows inside the circular waves imply the expansion of the atom. Our logo serves two meanings. First, the expanding atom simulates the fast and tremendous expansion of technological knowledge, which is the reason why we aim to provide the most up-to-date technical information to our student members. Second, we build the network of all student members just as atoms build up matters.

To promote IEEE to all engineering students in CUHK
The IEEE is widely recognized as the world's leading publisher of literature in electrical engineering and computer science. She provides a high quality and updated information to all members. Such information helps members know more about the fast-paced technology world which helps a lot in their studies and also their career. Therefore, it is our obligation to promote IEEE to all students in the CUHK's Engineering Faculty.

To act as a bridge between potential and current engineers
We try to encourage communication between the students and the current engineers. It will be worthy to communicate with them and share their experience. This helps students to become engineers and serve the society with the knowledge they learn in the campus.

The IEEE currently has 37 technical Societies and Councils, each devoted to a specific technical area.
